With the COVID-19 situation not resolving, many parents have had to make some difficult decisions. They have had to decide whether of not to place their children back in the public school system or to do remote learning at home through the school board. For a lot of parents, having their kids back in school is essential due to their work schedules. But for some the ability to take advantage of the remote learning seems doable. However, I’ve been hearing so many complaints about the ‘remote’ learning. I’ve heard complaints about how it’s not organized, how they keep changing the dates for starting, how they give an ultimatum of ‘If you don’t place your child back in on this date you have to wait 5 months.’ Which stresses parents out.

So what can you do in this situation? If you have the capability to stay home with your children, and you want them to get the best education possible, yet you’re finding that the remote learning aspect of public school is horribly neglected. What alternatives could you try?

There’s this common misunderstanding that homeschool families aren’t following educational guidelines and are using all the wrong materials. Listen up, there isn’t an ounce of truth to that. That’s just it though, those are just anxieties. Anxieties that I once felt years ago when I started homeschooling. If you have the best intentions, then you have nothing to worry about.
