Our Grade 6 Social Studies program is set up in two units. The first unit: Heritage and Citizenship: Communities in Canada, Past and Present. This unit covers Early Settlers, a Timeline of Immigration, Communities in early Canada, Multiculturalism in Canada, Modern Day Immigration, Human Rights in Canada and Canadian Identity. All of these lessons are hugely important for your child to learn and you to brush up on. Grade 6 Social Studies Homeschooling Curriculum should always have a balanced approach with all lessons. Our lessons are designed to help your student dive a little deeper into a certain subject if they should develop more interest for it.
While maintaining Canadian Curriculum Guidelines, we make sure that your child is learning exactly what they need to for their Grade level and subject matter. Unit 2 of Grade 6 Social Studies Homeschooling Curriculum is entitled: People’s and Environments: Canada’s interactions with the Global Community. During this unit your student will cover The UN’s sustainable Developmental Goals, International Organizations: WHO, NGO, WE Movement, Canada’s International aid, Peacekeeping, Canadian Government Responses to Viruses, International Tourism and more. Your student will learn a bounty of information during their Grade 6 Social Studies year. We hope that you and your child enjoy every lesson.
