Wouldn’t it be wonderful if your Grade 7 student developed a deeper love for Poetry and writing? Our Grade 7 Language Arts Homeschooling Curriculum goes very in-depth with Poetry during Unit 1. Introducing poetry in a special way to your child will help them realize that poetry isn’t just irrelevant, and old fashioned. They will look at the poems with a better lens, to find the true meanings of each poem.
They will learn to analyze poetry with different resources that are all set up and laid out simply for you and your child to follow. Taking a much deeper look at the poetic lyrics of ‘Imagine’ By John Legend, your student will learn to find the vision and the tone of each poem. Following this lovely poetic song, they will then study other wonderful works like, ‘Man in the Mirror’ and ‘What a Wonderful World’.
Your student will then learn to write a Diamente Poem of their very own, keeping it fun and simple. And then they will have the opportunity to partake in Persuasive Writing and Outline Reading Comprehension.
