When we were preparing our Grade 8 Science Homeschooling Curriculum we kept fun and learning in mind. Because we know that having fun with your education is the very best way for things to stick. Our Grade 8 Science Homeschooling Curriculum was created with four different units: Water Systems, Cells, Fluids and Systems in Action. Every aspect of our Grade 8 Science Homeschooling Curriculum follows Canadian Curriculum Homeschooling Guidelines.
In Unit 1 your student will learn about Water System Basics, they will learn so much more with the KWL method. Then they will jump into a lesson about Ecological Footprints, Water’s Changing States, The Water Cycle, Polar Ice Caps and Watersheds, Water and Climate, Conservation Authorities, Water Pollutants and Treatment, and an Indigenous Perspective on Safe Drinking Water. And that’s just Unit 1.
In Unit 2 of our Grade 8 Science Homeschool Curriculum, your student will learn about Cells and Organs, microscopes, Plant and Animal Cells, Flow of Material, the Importance of Cells, and Organisms and Bacteria. Every Lesson is created with a discussion section for you and your student to learn more together. And, all lessons are designed so that if your student decides they’d like to dive deeper and do a project on any of the subject matter, you can do that with them.
